Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details
- You must fill out this application with the name of the applicant who is the one to apply. Be sure to include proof of changes in address or other information.

UIDAI lets cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address without needing documentation. Aadhaar cardholders were permitted to change their address if they had not presented identification proof.
New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily shut down a vital feature which lets you change your Aadhaar card's address, without identity proof.
UIDAI permits users of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address, provided they accept the authorization from the address verification. An address verifier can be a close friend, relative landlord, family member or even a friend that will allow the Aadhaar card user to make use of their address as proof.
UIDAI has stopped this facility. UIDAI provided a response to an Card Holder by tweeting that the capability to update address on the Aadhaar Card via Address Validation Letter has been discontinued. UIDAI has requested to the Aadhaar provider to alert users to update their address using a acceptable PoA document.

UIDAI has listed the following documents as POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that contain the name and address for Aadhaar cards
Passport
Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts
Driving licence
Water Bill (not older that 3 months)
Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)
Credit Card Statement (not older that 3 months).
Signature letter and photo from official company registered on letterhead
Pensioner Card
Freedom Fighter Card
Kissan Passbook
Passport of Spouse
Documents of their parents (in the case of minors)
Central/ State Govt. The government issued an allotment request to accommodate. (Not more than 3 years)
Bhamashah Cards/Jan Aadhaar cards issued by Governmentt. Rajasthan
Certificate issued by the Superintendentor Warden/ Matron/ Head Of Institution of recognized shelter homes, orphanages etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
